The Wilson Combat 429BG is a drop-in beavertail grip safety designed for the 1911 Government pattern pistol. Machined from blued steel, this upgrade part lets 1911 owners fit a high-ride beavertail safety without modifying, cutting, or altering the frame.
A beavertail grip safety improves shooting comfort and recoil control by extending the safety’s rear profile up the backstrap, eliminating the hammer bite many shooters experience with a factory 1911 grip safety during recoil. The 429BG provides the popular high-ride beavertail shape with drop-in engineering and positive grip safety disengagement on every trigger pull.
Fits the 1911 Government frame as a direct replacement for the factory grip safety. Finished in blued steel to complement factory and custom 1911 builds.
