The Weaver Mounts 48055 Top Mount Base 55 is a 1-piece scope mount base machined from aluminum and finished in gloss black. Purpose-built as a top mount for the Mossberg 680, 800, and 695 12-gauge shotguns, it delivers the rock-solid Weaver cross-lock platform needed to securely accept a wide variety of Weaver-style rings and the optic of your choice. The same base also fits the Springfield 03 and Western Field 775 and 780 rifles, with dual extension rings recommended for the shotgun applications.
Machined to tight tolerances for a custom fit to the receiver, this Weaver base is engineered for maximum strength so rings hold tight and your optic stays zeroed. It mounts directly to the receiver and is sold as the base only – rings are not included. The lightweight aluminum construction provides a durable, rigid mounting point for a scope or other sighting system on your shotgun or rifle.
