Description
The Springfield Armory M1A Standard Issue is a 308 Win/7.62x51mm NATO semi-automatic rifle that brings the legendary M14 battle rifle heritage to the civilian market. Chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO with a 10+1 capacity, the M1A Standard Issue is purpose-built for sport shooting, personal protection, and collectors of historic American military-pattern rifles.
The rifle features a 22″ parkerized steel barrel with a 1:11 twist and a flash suppressor at the muzzle. A black parkerized steel receiver matches the barrel finish for a subdued all-black appearance. Traditional iron sights come standard with a National Match front blade and a military-style adjustable rear sight.
The action uses a semi-automatic operating system with a two-stage trigger and an ambidextrous safety. The fixed black synthetic stock is impervious to moisture, rot, and rough handling, giving the rifle a durable field-ready finish suited for hard use.
At 44.33″ overall and 8.80 lbs, the M1A Standard Issue carries the heft of a full-size .308 battle rifle. Available to the public since 1974, the Springfield Armory M1A is the civilian-legal semi-automatic counterpart to the U.S. military’s M14 service rifle, delivering proven performance in a proven platform.
