The SIONYX IR Illuminator Kit includes all the necessary tools to optimizethe use and performance of the Aurora family of cameras. The keycomponent is the 940nm, 5W LED infrared illuminator. This IR torch istuned specifically for the Aurora sensor for the perfect balance of color andbrightness to identify targets out to 150 meters and to recognize targetswell beyond.
To provide the end-user flexibility and expanded use, the kit includes 2picatinny rails. First, SIONYX developed a custom picatinny rail with a1/4-20mm screw to thread into the bottom of the Aurora. The second rail isa flashlight mount that attaches to standard 1913 picatinny rails. You cannow attach the illuminator directly to the Aurora with the custom pic railinstalled. Additionally, the illuminator can be attached to any helmet orweapon equipped with standard 1913 picatinny rails.
The IR torch runs on a single 18650 rechargeable lithium battery for 2hours of continuous run time. The kit includes an additional battery andUSB-charger to keep you running through the night. All these items arepackaged in a weather-tight hard case with custom die-cut foam.
