The Sierra 2600 GameKing is a .338 caliber, 250 grain hunting bullet built around Sierra’s classic Spitzer Boat Tail profile. Engineered specifically for the 338 Winchester Magnum and ideally suited to the 340 Weatherby Magnum, this heavy-for-caliber GameKing projectile is built for serious big-game work where deep penetration and reliable expansion on tough animals like elk and moose are required.
The 2600 features a copper jacket over a lead core with no cannelure, giving the handloader a clean, consistent bullet that presses and seats without case-mouth interference. Sierra’s spitzer boat tail shape produces a high ballistic coefficient, helping the bullet retain velocity and energy downrange for accurate, ethical shots at extended distances. A sectional density of .313 further confirms the bullet’s deep-penetration pedigree in magnum-class .338 hunting loads.
