Description
The Pietta 1873 Great Western II Californian is a faithful single-action revolver reproduction chambered in .357 Magnum, built on a traditional Western-era platform that fits right on the cowboy-action range, on the trail, and in a collector’s cabinet.
This Californian configuration pairs a 4.75″ hammer-forged steel barrel with a matching blued cylinder holding six rounds. The drop-forged steel frame is finished in traditional color case hardening and CNC-machined for a tight lockup. An exposed hammer lets the shooter manually cock each round under the single-action-only trigger, the classic operating pattern that has defined the old-style sixgun.
A smooth walnut grip fills the hand and balances the long barrel, fixed sights are set up for the .357 Magnum trajectory, and the 4.75″ barrel length gives this Californian a balanced handling profile. The result is a six-shot revolver that feels equally at home on the range, in a cowboy-action match, or alongside other classic single-action revolvers.
