Description
The Otis Ripcord is a pull-through .38/9mm/.357 caliber bore cleaner that takes the hassle out of routine firearm maintenance. This self-contained cleaning cord threads onto any standard 8-32″ cleaning rod and is pushed (or pulled) through the bore in a single pass, scrubbing fouling loose and wiping the bore clean without the need for patches or a separate bore brush.
The 36″ long rope pairs Nomex fibers with rubber wiping elements to clean 9mm Luger, .38 Special, and .357 Magnum bores in handguns and pistol-caliber rifles. The Nomex strands do the scrubbing work while the rubber sections follow behind, pushing loosened fouling and excess oil out of the bore for a clean, ready-to-shoot finish.
Compact enough to live in a range bag or pistol case, the Ripcord is one of the fastest ways to knock fouling out of a carry or defensive handgun between practice sessions, or to finish cleaning a pistol-caliber carbine at the end of a range day.
