Description
The Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmint is a 6mm (.243″ diameter) reloading projectile engineered for rapid, controlled expansion on varmints and small game. Built around a copper-jacketed, lead-core construction and tipped with a distinctive polymer point, this bullet combines the classic Spitzer profile with a boat-tail base for retained velocity, flatter trajectories, and dependable accuracy at longer ranges.
At 55 grains with a projectile length of .785″, this bullet carries a ballistic coefficient of .276 and a sectional density of .133. The copper jacket fully encapsulates the lead core, and the bullet is supplied without a cannelure, giving the handloader full flexibility over seating depth and overall loaded length. The 6mm Ballistic Tip Varmint is a long-established choice for popular varmint chambers such as the 6mm Remington and other .243″-diameter wildcat and sporting 6mm cartridges.
Sold as a 100-count box of reloading projectiles (loaded ammunition is not included), the Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmint bullet is a versatile, accurate component for any handloader building flat-shooting, fast-expanding varmint ammunition. Projectiles are dimensionally consistent and ready for seating in standard 6mm/.243″ reloading dies.
