Description
The Mossberg Patriot Long Range Hunter is a bolt-action centerfire hunting rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC and built around a 24″ fluted and threaded barrel finished off with a recessed match crown. The barrel is mated to a stainless steel receiver dressed in a matte blued metal finish and is seated in a fixed Sniper Gray Monte Carlo polymer stock configured for right-handed shooters.
At the heart of the rifle is Mossberg’s user-adjustable Lightening Bolt Action (LBA) trigger, paired with a crossbolt safety. A 1:8″ twist rate stabilizes the long, heavy-for-caliber projectiles the 6.5 PRC was designed to push, while the rifle measures 44.25″ overall and tips the scales at 7.25 lbs. The action feeds from a detachable drop-box magazine for a 4+1 capacity, and the rifle ships without iron sights – optics mount directly to the integrated Weaver-style scope bases machined into the receiver.
Designed for long-range hunting and accurate, supported shooting from a bench or prone, the Patriot Long Range Hunter’s threaded muzzle is ready for a suppressor or muzzle brake. Built by O.F. Mossberg and Sons, this is a current-production bolt-action rifle that pairs a precision-oriented chassis with the simplicity and reliability of a traditional hunting rifle.
