Description
The Mossberg Patriot Long Range Hunter is a purpose-built bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, designed for long-range precision shooting and hunting. Manufactured by Mossberg, this Patriot variant pairs a fluted, threaded barrel with Mossberg’s user-adjustable LBA (Lightning Bolt Action) trigger to deliver consistent accuracy at extended ranges.
At the heart of the rifle is a 22″ fluted and threaded barrel with a recessed match crown and a 1:8″ twist optimized to stabilize the wide range of bullet weights offered in 6.5 Creedmoor. The stainless steel receiver carries a matte blued metal finish and offers a 5+1 capacity. A crossbolt safety provides positive engagement in the traditional Mossberg location.
The fixed Monte Carlo stock is molded in sniper gray with contoured lines for a comfortable cheek weld and repeatable shooting position. This right-hand configuration complements the fluted barrel’s lines. With an overall length of 42.25″ and a weight of 6.50 lbs, the Patriot LR Hunter balances portability off-hand with stability for prone and bench work. No iron sights are installed, allowing the shooter to mount their preferred optics directly to the receiver.
