Description
The Mossberg 500 Bantam is a 20 Gauge pump-action shotgun in the Bantam configuration, scaled down with a shorter stock length-of-pull for younger and smaller-statured shooters while retaining the proven action of Mossberg’s iconic Model 500 platform.
Built around a 22″ blued vent-rib barrel and a blued steel receiver, the Bantam features a 3″ chamber for cycling both 2-3/4″ and 3″ 20 Gauge shells, with a total capacity of 5+1 from the under-barrel tubular magazine. An overall length of 40.75″ and a weight of 6.50 lbs keep the Bantam quick-handling in the field or on the range.
The Accu-Set choke system provides tool-free choke changes and ships with three chokes – Full, Improved Cylinder, and Modified – giving shooters the flexibility to move between upland bird hunting, small-game hunting, and clay target work. A dual bead sight setup rides atop the vent rib for fast target acquisition, while an adjustable trigger and Mossberg’s familiar top-mounted tang safety carry over the control layout used across the rest of the 500 line.
A fixed hardwood stock finished in a warm brown gives the Bantam a classic field look, with a shorter length-of-pull that fits right-handed youth and small-framed shooters.
