Description
The Leupold 51738 Standard Base is a one-piece scope base purpose-built to mount directly to the receiver of a Winchester Model 70 Long Range rifle in short action, right-hand, pre-2003 configuration.
Machined from 12L14 cold rolled steel and finished in non-reflective matte black, this single-piece base is designed to maintain scope alignment through hard use and repeated recoil. The Long Range rear extension provides added elevation for long-distance shooting, and the base is cut with 15 MOA of cant to push your holdovers up for distance work.
Rings are sold separately – this base is set up to receive Leupold Standard Rings in any of five available heights, letting you set the proper bell-to-barrel clearance for your optic. Mounting hardware goes straight to the rifle’s receiver, giving you a rock-solid, return-to-zero foundation for your scope.
