The Lee Precision 90862 Carbide Factory Crimp Die is a single-die reloading tool purpose-built for the .40 S&W and 10mm Auto cartridges. Designed to be run as the final step in your reloading process, this die applies a precise, consistent taper crimp to the case mouth – eliminating bullet creep and ensuring reliable feeding and ignition in semi-automatic pistols.
Both the .40 S&W and 10mm Auto headspace on the case mouth, making a properly applied crimp essential for accuracy and dependable function. The Lee Carbide Factory Crimp Die is built around a polished carbide crimping ring that requires no lubrication and self-aligns to deliver a uniform crimp on every round – without the case ever needing to contact the die’s resizing/lubrication area.
Threaded with the industry-standard 7/8″-14 pattern, this die drops into virtually any reloading press that accepts standard die threads, including Lee’s own Breech Lock and classic cast-iron presses as well as most competitors’ equipment. The die is a single, self-contained unit; a shellholder is not included (standard shellholders sold separately). For best results, trim your brass to a length of .982″ to .992″ before crimping.
