The Kleen-Bore SAF-T-CLAD model SAF400 is a one-piece rifle cleaning rod built for .22 – .45 caliber rifles. At 33 inches overall length, the rod gives you full reach from breech to muzzle on standard-length rifle barrels, so a patch or brush can be pushed through the entire bore without backing out mid-pass.
The rod is machined from solid steel and finished with Kleen-Bore’s SAF-T-CLAD protective coating, which helps prevent the rod from scratching or scoring the bore’s rifling and crown during cleaning. A free-spinning swivel handle lets the rod follow the rifling’s twist as patches and brushes travel through, eliminating the binding and hang-up you get with a fixed-grip rod.
The SAF400 ships ready to use with a patch holder and a muzzle guard included, giving you the two core attachments needed to start cleaning right out of the package. The single-piece steel construction eliminates the joint slop and weak points common in multi-piece rods, making the SAF-T-CLAD a dependable choice for routine rifle bore maintenance.
