The 2.40″ drop-point blade is cut from 420HC stainless steel with a non-reflective bead-blasted finish. 420HC is a high-carbon stainless steel known for easy sharpening and solid edge retention, making the plain-edge Scallion a capable cutter for cardboard, packaging, rope, and other everyday tasks.
Deployment is handled by the integral flipper tab working with Kershaw’s SpeedSafe assisted-opening system, smoothly bringing the blade into the locked-open position. At 5.75″ overall and 3.50″ closed, the Scallion rides easily in a pocket, and the included pocket clip keeps it secured and ready for daily carry.
