Description
The Howa M1500 Hogue is a bolt-action centerfire rifle chambered in 308 Win, pairing the proven Howa 1500 action with the ergonomics and recoil control of a Hogue OverMolded pillar-bedded stock. This full-size configuration features a 22″ cold hammer forged stainless steel barrel, a stainless steel receiver drilled and tapped for scope bases, and a distinctive OD Green Hogue synthetic stock.
At the heart of the rifle is the Howa 1500 bolt action with a 1:10″ twist, fed from an internal box magazine for a total capacity of 5+1. The barreled action is matched to the Howa HACT two-stage trigger for a crisp, predictable break, backed by a 3-position safety for safe handling in the field. The stainless steel barrel is factory threaded at the muzzle, allowing easy installation of a muzzle brake or suppressor, and the drilled-and-tapped receiver provides a solid mounting platform for the shooter’s preferred optic.
Weighing 7.80 lbs and measuring 42.25″ overall, the M1500 Hogue balances well for offhand shooting, prone work, and hunting from a blind. The OD Green Hogue OverMolded stock offers a soft, tactile gripping surface with pillar bedding and an integrated recoil pad, configured for right-hand shooters. No iron sights are included, leaving the rifle optics-ready right out of the box. The stainless steel barrel and receiver finish makes this configuration well suited for use in varied weather conditions.
