The Hornady Shell Holder 6 is a precision-machined reloading accessory built to snap into the ram of a single-stage press and hold a cartridge case in perfect alignment for resizing, decapping, and every other reloading operation. Cut from solid steel and heat-treated for long service life, this silver-finished universal shell holder is made to the same tight tolerances Hornady applies across its Lock-N-Load and classic single-stage press lines.
As a multi-caliber holder in Hornady’s Universal sizing system, the 6 fits a useful mix of bottleneck and straight-wall cases sharing a common head diameter. Verified applications include the .22 PPC, 6mm PPC, .256 Winchester Magnum, 7.62×39, .22 RCFM Jets, and .357 diameter cases such as .38 Special. It snaps easily into all Hornady presses and most other single-stage reloading presses, making it a versatile bench tool for handloaders working across multiple cartridges.
