The Hornady LEVERevolution in 308 Marlin Express is a hunting load built around Hornady’s patented Flex Tip eXpanding (FTX) bullet design. Loaded with a 160 gr FTX projectile, this round delivers a muzzle velocity of 2660 fps and 2513 ft lbs of muzzle energy, giving lever-action rifle hunters the flat trajectories and hard-hitting terminal performance the LEVERevolution line is engineered to provide.
The FTX bullet uses a soft polymer Flex Tip seated into the hollow-point cavity. The tip initiates reliable expansion across a wide velocity window while also allowing the round to feed safely from the tubular magazines of lever-action rifles – something conventional pointed soft points can’t do without sacrificing expansion. The result is a bullet that delivers both safe tubular-magazine loading and consistent terminal performance on game at typical hunting distances.
This ammunition is loaded in brass casings and is purpose-built for hunting applications.
