Description
The Hornady FTX is a .358-diameter, 200 gr Flex Tip eXpanding rifle bullet designed around the 35 Remington lever-action cartridge and other .35-caliber rifles. Hornady’s patented soft polymer tip sits where a conventional hollow-point cavity would be; on impact it compresses back into the bullet, initiating immediate, controlled expansion across a wide range of velocities and bringing true modern terminal performance to the lever gun.
Each FTX is built on a lead core swaged inside a copper jacket, with a cannelure positioned to lock the jacket to the core and provide a positive crimp seat for tubular magazines. The bullet carries a G1 ballistic coefficient of .300 and a sectional density of .223, delivering the downrange energy retention and momentum required for medium-game hunting.
