Description
The Charter Arms Professional III is a rugged, mid-size 6-shot revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, purpose-built for defensive use and everyday carry. Built on Charter Arms’ large frame with a 4.2″ barrel and an exposed-hammer double-action/single-action trigger, the Professional III (model 63546) cycles both .357 Magnum and .38 Special rounds from the same cylinder, giving shooters a versatile do-it-all revolver.
The stainless steel frame, cylinder, and barrel are finished in a tough Black Nitride+ coating for excellent corrosion and wear resistance. The matching black nitride cylinder pairs with the barrel for a uniform, no-nonsense appearance, and the exposed hammer lets you run the action in either DA or SA mode. Charter Arms rounds out the package with classic walnut finger-grooved grips that provide a confident hold and timeless look.
Sighting is handled by a high-visibility LitePipe front sight mated to an adjustable rear sight for fast, intuitive target acquisition in defensive scenarios. Weighing roughly 22 oz unloaded and measuring 7 13/16″ overall, the Professional III carries comfortably without becoming a burden.
