The Caldwell XLA Fixed Bipod is a lightweight, two-legged shooting support built to deliver a stable, repeatable aiming platform on virtually any rifle equipped with a standard sling swivel stud. Part of Caldwell’s popular XLA line of field-proven shooting accessories, this fixed (non-pivoting) model provides a wide 13″ to 23″ height adjustment range, making it equally well suited to prone shooting, bench work, and seated or kneeling positions at the range or in the field.
The chassis is built from black aluminum, keeping overall weight to a shooter-friendly 14 oz without sacrificing rigidity. Both legs feature precision notches that lock securely into position, allowing quick and repeatable indexing from one shooting session to the next. Soft rubber feet deliver positive traction on benches, dirt, gravel, and shooting bags, while the padded cradle at the top of the unit protects the forend finish of the host firearm.
Installation is tool-free: the integrated mount threads directly onto any rifle’s existing front sling swivel stud in seconds, with no adapters, rails, or additional hardware required. When the day is done, the legs fold neatly against the barrel for compact carry to and from the line.
