The Bore-Nado 70584 handgun barrel cleaning rope is a compact, pull-through bore cleaner from Allen Company, purpose-built for .44 and .45 caliber handgun bores. It brings fast, single-pass bore maintenance to revolvers and large-frame auto pistols without the mess of patches and solvent-soaked rods.
At the heart of the rope is Vortex bristle technology built around integrated copper brushes. As the rope is drawn through the bore, the copper bristles scour out fouling and carbon while the built-in braided swab trailing behind them sweeps the loosened debris out of the barrel in a single motion. The design is engineered to clean roughly 30% deeper than conventional bore cleaning ropes, lifting residue that patches alone tend to leave behind.
The Bore-Nado 70584 measures 8.50″ long overall and stores in a small 2 in x 5 in x 8.50 in footprint that drops easily into a range bag or pistol case. There are no moving parts and no setup required: simply drop the weighted end down the muzzle and pull the rope through.
