Built around Barnes’ lead-free LRX (Long-Range X) hunting bullet, this round is engineered for serious hunters who need flat trajectory, retained energy, and reliable terminal performance at extended distances.
At the muzzle, the 145 gr LRX Boat Tail launches at 3350 fps, producing 3739 ft lbs of energy. The streamlined boat-tail profile supports a high ballistic coefficient so velocity stays useful well past typical hunting ranges, where the VOR-TX LR line is designed to perform. The all-copper LRX bullet retains weight on impact, expands reliably at long range, and meets the needs of hunters who prefer or are required to use lead-free projectiles.
