Description
The FN 509 Compact Tactical (model 509CT) is a striker-fired service pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, engineered by FN for professional duty and everyday defensive carry. Built around a black polymer frame with an integrated Picatinny accessory rail, the 509CT blends a compact slide profile with full-size duty capability.
The slide is machined from stainless steel with a Black PVD finish, featuring front and rear serrations and the FN Low-Profile Optics Mounting System that accepts most commercial miniature red dots. Co-witnessing 3-dot night sights ride at suppressor height so the iron-sight picture lines up with or without an optic installed. A 4.32″ black steel threaded barrel sits beneath the slide, supporting direct attachment of a suppressor or compensator, and feeds from a 10+1 round magazine.
Ambidextrous controls make the 509CT equally natural for right- and left-handed shooters. An interchangeable backstrap lets the user tailor grip fit to hand size, and a loaded chamber indicator at the top of the slide provides both visual and tactile chamber status. The package ships with two 10-round magazines.
