The Winchester Xpert Snow Goose is a purpose-built 12 Gauge steel shotshell loaded specifically for snow goose and light goose conservation seasons, when the long-range pass shooting these birds demand calls for the heaviest payloads Winchester offers. These 3.5″ magnum-length hulls carry a hefty 1-3/8 oz payload of BB steel shot, launched at a high-velocity 1550 fps for the flatter trajectory and extra down-range energy waterfowl hunters need.
Winchester builds this round around corrosion-resistant Xpert steel shot, paired with a Diamond Cut Wad that protects the shot column and produces the tight, consistent patterns required at extended ranges. The hull and wad are finished in a low-visibility treatment to keep birds from keying on the load as they work into range, and the high-velocity propellant charge is matched to the heavy shot payload to push more energy per pellet for improved reach on geese.
Designed for hunting, these shells are intended for use in any 12-gauge shotgun chambered for 3.5″ magnum ammunition and are well-suited to pass shooting and field work over decoys when light geese are the target. They are not for use in standard 2.75″ or 3″ chambers.
