The Sierra 2900 Pro-Hunter is a .375 caliber, 200 grain Flat Nose hunting bullet built for rifle shooters pursuing medium and heavy game. Part of Sierra’s Pro-Hunter line, this heavyweight Flat Nose is tailored for cartridges such as the .375 Winchester and similar big-bore rifle chamberings, providing the heavy weight and blunt profile favored for dangerous game and brush-country hunting.
Sierra builds each Pro-Hunter around its proprietary PowerJacket design – a controlled-expansion copper jacket engineered to drive deep penetration and reliable expansion through medium and heavy game animals. The copper jacket is paired with a lead core to reach the heavy 200-grain weight class, and a cannelure is rolled into the shank to lock the core in place and provide a positive crimp seat for handloaders building cartridges where a crimped round is desirable. Sectional density for this 200-grain .375″ bullet is .203, putting it firmly in the heavyweight class for its caliber.
